Dolphin Browser is an Android web browser that promises better and faster navigation than its mainstream competitors.

Dolphin Browser has the standard features that most people have come to expect of web browsers: multiple tabs, bookmarked pages, and a Chrome-style "speed dial" that has since been implemented in many browsers. If your device supports multitouch, then this browser can take advantage of it.

Perhaps one of the more unique features of Dolphin Browser is the ability to create "gestures" to do certain things. You can make a rule that says if your finger traces in a certain sequence, the browser should perform an action. For example, you can make a gesture rule that says if you draw a "G", the browser should navigate to Google's web site.

Unfortunately, Dolphin Browser does not support embedded Flash content, which can be a downside if you're using older websites or were hoping to play Flash games on it. It does, however, support HTML5 and an array of newer technologies, so you shouldn't have any trouble performing almost any other task online with it. It also has some newer features that are slowly becoming standard, like voice-based searches and autocompletion.

In short, Dolphin Browser may be useful if you're experimenting with browsers and are willing to try a new one. It doesn't have many features (gesture rule feature aside) that you couldn't find in more popular browsers already, though.
